A çryptõ drainer works automatically by combining a malicious smart contract with monitoring software:
1. A victim approves a malicious smart contract.
2. The attacker stores the wallet address.
3. A bot continuously monitors the blockchain for that wallet.
4. When the wallet receives çryptõcurrency or tokens that the contract is authorized to spend, the bot detects them.
5. The bot immediately sends a transaction to the malicious smart contract, which transfers the approved assets to the attacker's wallet.
The "automatic" part is the monitoring bot—it constantly watches for assets and triggers transfers using permissions the user already granted. It does not require the victim to approve each transfer again.
